Our Story
March 2023
It was our first full day in Breckenridge, Colorado, for a ski trip with friends. His plan was to propose on the peak of the mountain and when the skies were clear and the view was perfect…
…then I took a wrong turn.
Half of the group conspired as they mapped out where Daniel should propose and the trails to take to get there. The other half, including me, was told to follow.
Legend has it, we were all supposed to stay left. Unfortunately, I did not. The misadventure caused me and a friend to end up at the wrong base on the other side of the mountain. We were so far off that we had to hop on a shuttle in order to get back to the group. At that moment, the clouds rolled in, and heavy snow began to fall.
Anxious and with a beautiful ring burning a hole in his backpack, Daniel couldn't wait any longer.
When we had finally made it to the peak, surrounded by laughter and music, our friends suggested taking a few photos to capture the early chaos of our ski trip.
Daniel seized the moment and on one knee, amidst falling snowflakes, he popped the question! Our friends and bystanders cheered all around us.
If you ask Daniel why he chose proposing on the ski trip he'll say, it’s his happiest place in the world for the happiest moment of his life.
If you ask me if I had any clue it was coming, I'd say - it was a moment I had long dreamed of since we became a couple, and if I knew it was coming, there’s NO CHANCE I would have missed that turn.
